Service Description

In Finland, the law requires that grease ducts in all professional kitchens must be cleaned at least once a year. This is not optional – it’s a legal obligation based on the Rescue Act and Ministry of the Interior regulation no. 802. Failure to comply can result in fines or even closure of your restaurant. Regular grease duct cleaning is essential to prevent fire hazards and ensure the safety and hygiene of your kitchen. What the service includes: • Vacuuming and brushing of grease ducts. • Removal of grease, dirt, and dust from the ducts. • Inspection and cleaning of the kitchen hood. • Cleaning and inspection of the roof exhaust fan. • Cleaning certificate confirming compliance with legal requirements. What the service does not include: • Repairs or installations (billed separately). • Photo-based cleaning report (available for an additional fee). How the service works: 1. Initial inspection: We conduct a thorough on-site inspection with your contact person, identifying the number of hoods and any specific areas that need attention. We document everything with photos. 2. Preparation: We protect kitchen equipment and ensure that the exhaust system is safely turned off before starting the cleaning process. 3. Cleaning: We clean the hoods and grease ducts using powerful cleaning agents. For stubborn grease buildup, we use a grease cutter to ensure thorough removal. 4. Roof exhaust fan cleaning: We mechanically and chemically clean the roof exhaust fan to ensure optimal performance. 5. Post-inspection and documentation: After cleaning, we perform a functionality check and provide before-and-after photos to document the results. Why is grease duct cleaning essential? 1. Legal compliance: Annual cleaning is mandatory, and failure to comply can result in fines or restaurant closure. 2. Fire risk prevention: Dirty grease ducts pose a significant fire hazard, which can only be mitigated through regular cleaning. 3. Improved hygiene and air quality: Clean ducts improve ventilation and reduce health risks in your kitchen. 4. Increased equipment lifespan: Regular cleaning keeps kitchen equipment in good condition and prevents costly breakdowns. What you’ll receive after the cleaning: After the service, you’ll receive a cleaning certificate, an important document proving that your kitchen meets all legal requirements. Don’t neglect this critical obligation! Book your grease duct cleaning today to keep your kitchen safe, compliant, and operating smoothly.
