Why this filter replacement offer matters right now

Changing the filters in your air ventilation system is one of the easiest and most effective ways to improve indoor air quality. Filters prevent pollen, fine particles, and harmful gases from entering your indoor air. If filters are not replaced regularly, they lose their filtering capacity, become clogged, and may even cause malfunctions in your ventilation system.

Clogged filters lead to an accumulation of indoor air pollutants, which can cause or worsen symptoms such as respiratory issues, allergies, headaches, fatigue, and general discomfort. Long-term exposure to poor indoor air can also increase the risk of more serious conditions, such as asthma and cardiovascular disease. Optimizing air quality is a critical part of maintaining health and wellbeing – especially after the pollen season.

Pollen season affects up to a million people in Finland

Pollen season in Finland is long and divided into three main phases. This makes filter maintenance especially important in spring, summer, and autumn.

1. Spring – tree pollen

In spring, deciduous trees such as birch, alder, and hazel begin to bloom. Birch pollen is particularly allergenic, and its season is short but intense, usually from April to May.

2. Summer – grass pollen

In mid-summer, grasses such as timothy, meadow grass, and grains cause allergic reactions. Blooming peaks from June to July, and symptoms are worsened by dry, windy, and warm days.

3. Late summer and autumn – mugwort pollen

Mugwort is a major allergen in late summer, blooming from late July to September. Additionally, herbs such as basil and oregano can cause cross-reactivity for mugwort-allergic individuals.

The chart titled "Pollen Seasons" shows the occurrence of pollen from different plants throughout the year. It uses a horizontal bar format to indicate the occurrence and density of pollen from five different plants over a twelve-month period.

Do you have a different air ventilation unit?

No problem – we also offer filter replacement services for other brands besides Swegon. Whether your unit is KAir, Parmair, Enervent, Vallox, or another brand, you can count on us to provide expert service that ensures clean and efficient indoor air.

Replacing the filters in your air ventilation unit is a vital part of building maintenance. It directly affects indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and the overall operation of your ventilation system. Clogged filters can reduce airflow, increase energy consumption, and raise the risk of pollutants accumulating indoors.

What does our Air Ventilation Filter Maintenance service include?

  1. Filter inspection and replacement – new filters are ordered and billed separately based on the unit model

  2. Basic function check of the ventilation unit – we check the basic functions of the unit to ensure that the system is working as designed.

Recommendation: Filters should be replaced at least twice a year, in spring and autumn, to keep the system in good and efficient condition.

Service does not include (for units outside the Swegon offer):

  • New filters (these are added and billed separately)

  • Repairs or technical maintenance of faulty equipment

  • Cleaning of ductwork or heat recovery units
